CCTV installers have been using 3G routers for many years to provide remote access to their CCTV cameras and DVR equipment. With the introduction of new high speed 4G routers they can now provide the same wireless broadband service for remote site monitoring and connectivity but with much faster download and upload speeds over the 4G network.
Accessing your CCTV cameras and DVR equipment is easy when using a Fixed IP SIM Card – you can juust use port forwarding in the normal way.
However – if you intend to use a normal mobile data SIM without a Fixed IP service then you should be aware that your mobile provider will probably be using CG NAT (carrier grade NAT) to assign your connection with a private IP address on their private network which means that you will be unable to connect to your router or connected devices. You can research “CGNAT 4G network” to learn more about carrier grade NAT.
